Thunderstorms moving through the San Luis Valley in south central Colorado. These immense storms engulfed the valley and dwarfed the formidable Sangre de Cristo Mountains, which contain nine 14000ft peaks.
Jeremy Rhoades grew up at 10,400' among the 14ers of the Sawatch Range, Colorado's highest mountains. In his late 20's, he relocated to Alaska in order to fulfill a life-long obsession with "BIG" mountains and extreme snowfall & temperatures. Photography was the way for Jeremy to share the towering mountains of Alaska and a unique, almost surreal light in the northern latitudes. Jeremy has moved back to Colorado & continues to share his love of high altitudes, as mountain landscapes are the clear focus of his work. He hopes you will enjoy the many scenes made available here.
