Description
After a series of Pacific storms had finally started sweeping over the Central Rockies in December, Mount Massive stands proud in winter white contrasting the bluebird sky of Colorado. Mt Massive is Colorado's 2nd highest at an altitude of 14,428'. Aptly named, it has the most land mass above 14,000 ft of any mountain in the lower 48 states and features 5 points rising over 14k feet. The northern-most peak is known as North Massive and at an elevation of 14,347' is the 5th highest point in Colorado. This mountain is part of the enormous Sawatch Range and stand just north of the highest peak in Colorado, Mt Elbert (14,440). Lake County, Colorado USA.
